I recently read about a supposedly verfy helpful acting book entitled - How to Get Arrested, by Michael J. Wallach. The review I read failed to mention that the book is a very basic acting book. I guess it would be OK for someone just entering the acting field or thinking about it, but for anyone with any experience, it contains no information of much value. If is basically a Step 1, Step 2, Step 3 guide for getting into the acting field. The only thing I liked about it was the title. It is, however, a very quick read, so if you have nothing else to do and can borrow the book from the library or a friend, go for it.
I am now beginning to read another book entitled - Your Face Looks Familiar... by Michael Bofshever. I will discuss this one in my next blurb.
I am also reading Mark Brandon's WINNING AUDITIONS 101 STRATEGIES FOR ACTORS. So far, this is the best acting advice book I have read yet. And I have read a few. I'll also discuss this one in a later entry.
As my friend Bob Fraser always says, "Much success".
